An introduction to key terms, areas of tension, and different perspectives. We explore how power dynamics and belonging are interconnected and what this means in practical terms for organisations and everyday life. This course lays a shared foundation for more in-depth engagement.

How can I offer diversity-sensitive support in my role as a point of contact?
What if someone shares an experience of discrimination that we cannot personally relate to? What if they simply want to be heard rather than advised? How can we initiate conversations in a thoughtful way? In this online space, we address stance, listening, uncertainty, and boundaries in roles of trust, for instance in psychological counselling, career guidance, or leadership.

How can we make application processes more inclusive?
Questions of belonging often arise as early as the selection process. In this course, we discuss job postings, interviews, and selection procedures from an anti-discriminatory and diversity-oriented perspective. We share experiences of common barriers and explore practical options to overcome them. This course is aimed at anyone involved in recruitment and selection.

How can we foster a sense of belonging for everyone in the team?
When diversity leads to tension, spaces for reflection and co-creation become essential. This course addresses challenges in everyday collaboration – from implicit norms to microaggressions. Through hands-on exercises and sharing experiences, we strengthen our understanding of different perspectives and identify steps to build stronger team cohesion.

Diversity and belonging: What responsibility do I (not) carry as a leader?
Leaders shape how diversity and belonging are handled within their teams and institutions. At the same time, they are often under pressure and face complex questions. This course focuses on the responsibilities leaders hold and the kind of support they themselves may need. We will discuss role modelling, institutional responsibilities, and how to navigate uncertainty in leadership roles.

How can I recognise microaggressions and how should I respond?
Microaggressions are often subtle, yet impactful. Together, we will learn how to identify, contextualise, and respond to them – whether we are affected, witnessing them, or realising that we may have caused harm ourselves. This course offers awareness-building, exchange, and initial strategies for action. A space for honest questions and shared learning.
